Lonesome No More Through Faith Communities

A Spirit and Place Festival Event

Thursday, November 8 at 6:00 p.m.

We will explore the ways in which loneliness is present in religious communities and the strength, structure, and support that churches, synagogues, and other faith communities can provide. The evening will include a panel with Rev. John E. Denson, Jr.; Rev. Dr. Sarah Griffith Lund; Rabbi Kate Briggs; Dr. Halima
Al-Khattab; and moderated by Bill Bole. Rabbi Dennis Sasso and Julia Whitehead, founder and CEO of the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library, will speak. Artist Kyle Ragsdale will unveil a piece of art that he created during and based upon the discussion.

Free, open to the public, includes refreshments. R.S.V.P. encouraged at www.spiritandplace.org.
Presented by Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library, Center for Interfaith Cooperation, Congregation Beth-El Zedeck, and National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI) FaithNet. Supported by Mickey and Janie Maurer and Congregation Beth-El Zedeck’s Judaism, Arts, Interfaith and Civic Engagement Fund in Honor of Rabbis Dennis and Sandy Sasso.
