Born and raised in Indianapolis, Ruth Siegel became a bat mitzvah at Beth-El Zedeck, before becoming confirmed and a madricha for Religious School.

After graduating high school, she attended college at The University of Florida where she studied History and Economics. Post-college, Ruth completed a year of service with AmeriCorps in San Antonio, Texas, working as student support in underserved schools. Back in Indianapolis, Ruth is a high school math teacher.
