Walk a Mile in a Refugee’s Shoes

Sunday, July 23, 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. beginning at the Sablosky Pavilion at the JCC

Today, more than 65 million people are displaced around the world, the most since WWII. While it is impossible to fully comprehend what it is like to be forced from your home and live as a refugee, COIN and friends invite you to Walk a Mile in a Refugee’s Shoes. You will be educated, moved, and, hopefully, motivated to advocacy. The experience takes an individual or family about one hour and allows participants to assume the identity and role of a refugee and experience some typical activities on their journey. If you would like to volunteer for this event, please contact COIN.Indy.2017 {at} gmail(.)com. To register, click here.
