Early Childhood Family Shabbat

Join us for a joyous service with participation from our Bagels, Pre-K and Kindergarten children led by Rabbi Sandy Sasso and Morah Clara Sharon with Morah Cheryl Toof, Linda Isaacson and guitarist Stacy Basner. Keep your resolutions for 2012 by attending this educational series at the synagogue. This four-part hands-on class will focus on nutrition, diet, exercise and cooking. Dr. Emily Frank, board-certified internal medicine physician, classically trained chef and trained yoga instructor, will introduce you to the fundamental tools you need to be your best in 2012! Fee: $18/person

Kol Zimra

Thursdays, beginning September 15 | 7:30-8:30 pm

at Beth-El Zedeck

Discover your voice in Beth-El Zedeck’s very own adult choir, Kol Zimra. Join our Director of Musical Arts Education, Melissa Cohen, for an exploration of Judaism through the rich history of our people’s musical heritage. The choir will learn music of all styles from Solomone Rossi’s liturgical pieces of the 17th century to Israeli folk songs, old and new, from English and Yiddish gems, to sampling of special Jewish composers and repertoire. Kol Haneshamah – A Soulful Shabbat

Celebrate the gifts of joy, rest and peace in a community of song, reflection and prayer.

Fridays, January 6, February 3, March 2, May 4, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Smulyan Board Room

Join our Rabbi(s), songleader and musical accompanist in an inspiring and participatory Shabbat experience for the whole community. This service is parallel and in addition to the traditional Shabbat service taking place in the Kaufman/Schuchman Chapel.

Kol Haneshamah Shabbat will take place the first Friday of each month.

Families: There will be a parallel Shabbat experience for children ages 5 & younger accompanied by a parent.

Congregation Beth-El Zedeck now allows you to have your synagogue obligations deducted directly from your bank account. By providing our office with some basic information, you authorize our staff to take monthly electronic transfers of funds from your checking or savings account. All transactions take place on or about the 15^th of each month.

If you are interested in this plan, please print and complete the attached application. Mail it to the office with a voided check. In setting your monthly amount, please remember that we can apply the funds to all Beth-El obligations, present and future.
